Risk Management
Our Risk Management team provides high-quality educational services and practical solutions for minimizing your risk exposure. We help your practice stay a step ahead by performing pro-active research on current risk management issues.
Medical Mutual launched an updated office-based Risk Assessment program in 2007 that provides the most accurate and detailed measurement of risk exposures to date. The comprehensive program is tailored to identify areas of risk and improve patient outcomes in both office and hospital settings.
In-Office Risk Assessment
Our highly trained Risk Consultants provide an on-site, comprehensive assessment of office systems and medical records. They identify areas of malpractice risk for physicians and physician extenders, and offer strategies that can reduce the identified risks that commonly generate claims. At the conclusion of your assessment, you will receive risk analyses for your practice and each of your physicians and facilities. Physicians and extenders who attend the summary presentation will receive Category 1 CME credits.
Risk Management Seminars
Office Staff Education
Our Risk Consultants conduct educational seminars for administrators and office staff on Risk Management topics. Our seminars highlight issues such as patient satisfaction, communication, documentation, and medication management. The seminars are updated continually to reflect risks associated with the constantly evolving health care delivery system.
Indispensable Resources
Medical Mutual's Risk Management team is an indispensable resource for physicians and office staff. Our Risk Managers are available by phone to respond to questions and meet your immediate needs. Our print resources include procedure-specific informed consent forms, an electronic medical record guide, a tool kit for practices who prescribe anticoagulation therapy, a disaster plan for medical offices, and other bulletins that alert you to potential risks and advise you on ways of minimizing those risks.
