Important Update
Medical Security will transition its dental professional liability business to Eastern Dentists Insurance Company (EDIC) beginning with April 1, 2013 renewals. This decision was made after careful consideration regarding the current insurance market and with input from North Carolina dentists and the North Carolina Dental Society (NCDS).
We have negotiated an agreement with EDIC, a "By Dentists, For Dentists"® mutual insurance company, to provide you with professional liability coverage at your policy renewal. EDIC will offer comparable coverage and premium rates to your current policy with Medical Security. Medical Security will handle all servicing until your policy is transitioned to EDIC. Claims and suits that have been reported will continue to be managed by Medical Security.
