Systems Analyst / Business Intelligence Analyst (Raleigh NC)

Medical Mutual Insurance Company of North Carolina, one of the nation’s largest providers of professional liability insurance and other services for physicians, seeks a Systems Analyst / Business Intelligence Analyst for the Raleigh, NC office. Summary of Position:
This individual candidate will be part of a team to ensure the growth and development of our Business Intelligence platform using the Business Objects 4.x Enterprise and Crystal Reports product suite. This position will work closely with other members of the IT Team, and will take direction from his or her direct manager and the other teams in which they participate.

  • Design and build complex reports using Crystal Reports
  • Enhance existing reporting inventory capabilities
  • Document processes and procedures; share best practices
  • Learn corporate applications as necessary to fully support the environment
  • Perform software installs, upgrades, and patches as needed to support enterprise platform

  • A Bachelor's degree and/or several years work experience is required
  • 2+ years of work experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or reporting
  • Demonstrated proficiency using the Business Objects Enterprise platform, including Business Objects Server software, Designer, Webi, Crystal Reports, and Xcelsius
  • Experience with relational databases; Oracle is preferred
  • Programming experience with PL/SQL or similar product
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and supporting enterprise-wide applications, including installation, upgrades, and patch releases
  • Professional or General Liability insurance industry experience preferred

  • Ability to quickly locate, analyze, and report on operational data
  • Enthusiasm for learning new software products
  • A strong interest in creative problem solving
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • The desire to deliver high-quality customer service
